Touristic places at Skopje

MATKA;
Matka is so famous canyon for here.Canyon has 6-8 km walking way.Matka is the coldest place at Skopje and even at summer too.You can stay hotel at Matka or you can watch amazing Matka view when you eat or drink something at restourant which under the hotel.At the same time you can rent individual kayak,for one person or two person and you can make little travel or you can take more friends with you and rent more big boat with guide,make little travel on the Matka lake and you can see the cave which cold and with bat :) The price is 1200 denari (20 €) for 2 person and the tour is near 1 hour.
VODNO;
I think it is little bit up for Macedonian economy and it's really unnecessary,but you can see from everywhere at skopje,the corss's lenght is 69 meter which at mountain Vodno.Here is more cool then square,you can take fresh breath,by the way for now i'm writing this text from vodno :) You can find a place for sit and drink something,a hotel,places for watching th city and walking ways,forest area and surely you can find a cable car,walking way and road for going to cross.The cable car's price 100 denari (1.60 €) for one person.
BAZAAR;
You can find at here some stone,mosques,inns,hammams from OTTOMAN EMPIRE.This little bazaar more friendly then macedonian side.You can feel OTTOMAN EMPIRE and hear their horseshoe's sound,esspecially at the mosques and it's really excited.Also you can find so much souvenir shops,hotels,jewelry stores,silver shops,turkish cafes,place for eating dessert and the best restourants of skopje.I can offer you the best one souvenir shop,at the left side of Murat Pasa Mosque.Owner name is Irfan,he's really good person,say hello (salaam) from me too :)
SQUARE;
Surely here is centre of skopje.Here regenerated this year and working still continue and now it has more European face.It has different pattern on the floor and a water which makes dance with music,now the city has different ambiance.Also has one passage name is ''GTS'',resoutrants,kind of markets and a swarovski shop too.Mother Teresa' house at this street too which has connection with square.Biggest sculpture at square and it gave name at airport too,name is Alexander the great who son of a 2.Phillip.The sculpture with a corveted horse and alexander the great holding a sword with one hand,at the same time he's looking one point and greeting his father,you can see his father's sculpture which standing up one hand at entry of Turkish bazaar.
MACEDONIA STREET;
This street is continue from square which next to biggest sculpture.Traffic lights diveded the street at the further and the street continue until ramstore.Long and colorful street..Macedonia Street has banks,interesting cafes,travel agency,glasses and watch shops and cafe-pubs.
MOTHER TERESA;
I wrote this for just it's touristic place :) If you can find FREE time at Skopje,you can visit here.This house belong to Mother Teresa,she's so important person for christian world.She blessed by papa.Inside the building you can see some pictures from blessing day,books,headscarf,one bed and it's belong to her and at up top one little church (good architecture) too.
ZOO;
It has enough size for spending time at Skopje.I'm sorry about that but in Turkey zoo's animals lying like dead but for this zoo the situation is defferent.The animals moving if weather is not so much hot.You can see animals when they yell,play game and fight too :) Here hasn't so many authentic animals but it has kind of animals.Here is the best zoo which i wandered with enjoying.The other side when my borther came here,we found opportunity for watching the lions when they eat something,surely between us we had a security wire.But that was amazing experience.Imagine that,lion looking inside your eyes when he eat something :) ROARR!!!
GRADSKİ PARK;
Finally..and my favorite place :) Gradski park has one big artificial lake,greens and birds sound,you can relax,reading something,do some sports or just walking at this amazing ambiance.It has different ambiance esspecially in november but for summer the best time for hang out at near 6 before sunset...The park has minus side,after the sun here has so much dark place,lights not enough that's the reason you can't get to enjoy.Entry of the park biggest olympic stadium of Macedonia,stadium name's ''2.Philip''.Capacity is 36.400.Stadium took name forum Macedonian king.Also you can find entry of park,another little park,between little park and stadium you can find tennis court.Zoo's wall adjacent with Gradski park.
SKOPJE CASTLE;
Castle took some damage from earthquake but it's still standing.Castle has one museum.You can see parts of the city but not like at Vodno.The Castle made firstly period of Rome,at 518 earthquake the castle collapsed complately,then made again too.It took so much damage from Bulgarian Empire vs eastern Rome.Then surely OTTOMAN EMPIRE conquested here and took castle too and then here was one big earthquake too at 26 july 1963,some parts of Castle took damage and thoose parts still stay broken.At that earthquake,1070 people dead,2900 injured and up to 100.000 people live at tent so long time.It was biggest earthquake for Skopje.You can find one museum about the earthquake near ramstore.
