Ashabi Kahf Cave

Ashabi Kahf Cave is 14 km far from Tarsus and in some village name is Dedeler.Here is blessed area for Muslims and Christians.The cave has 1520 steps.Also up on the cave has one mosque which made in 1873 by our Sultan Abdulaziz.Tarsus had a situaion in Romans time.Quran says,there was 7 people with one dog who escaped from Roman Ruler Dakyanus.Because Dakyanus was worship idols and who was not believe in idols,he was killing thoose people.But there was some 7 people names were Yemliha,Mekseline,Mislina,Mernush,Sazenush,Tebernush and Kefeshtetayush and the dog name was Kıtmir.They didnt accept to worship idols.So they escaped from Dakyanus to the cave where Benculus mountain and they slept here 309 years.Then they woke up and went to the town for buy some food.But their money was so much old so the people started to try to catch them.They turned back to the cave and when the town's people arrived the cave there was noone.And today still noone doesnt know about them except there is some hole inside the cave.Maybe they went inside of the hole but where question is still unknown.
