Uzuncaburc Olba Antique City,Temple of Zeus and Church

Uzuncaburc explored after 1973 in Mersin.Uzuncaburc means Tall Bastion.The city declared township in 1992.In the Hellenistic Period,here was place of worship.After Roman Empire took the Uzuncaburc,A.D 72th here printed own coin of Roman Empire's.In the city has Temple of Zeus,mausoleums from Hellenistic Period and Roman Empire made colonnaded street,theatre,ceremonial gate,antique fountain,tychaeum and victory gate.The Temple of Zeus totally has 36 column and it's corinth style with peripteros plan.Tychaeum made by Oppius and his wife Kyria in A.D 1st's second half and today 5 of them is alive,each of them granite column and 6 meters lenght.
